Redmi, the sub-brand of Xiaomi dedicated to mid-range and low-end products, has expanded its offer of smart TVs with two new models: Redmi SmartTV A55 and A70. Two 55 and 70 inch televisions that stand out for their elegant design, 4K screen and competitive price.

Redmi's A series was launched a few days ago with three models: A32, A43 and A65, covering sizes from 32 to 65 inches. Now, with the addition of the A55 and A70, the series offers a full range of options to meet different consumer needs.
The two new TVs have a resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels, support a 60Hz refresh rate and can display 1,07 billion colors. They feature a quad-core A35 CPU, a G31 MP2 GPU, 1,5GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage. They also support 2,4GHz Wi-Fi, dual 10W stereo speakers, and various connectivity ports.
However, the main selling point of these TVs is not the configuration, but the look. Indeed, following the style of the new Xiaomi TV products, the two models have a metal unibody body which gives them a premium look. Thanks to this, they have also achieved a 97,1% screen-to-body ratio, which makes them very attractive to see in the living room.
Another cool feature is the automatic screen dimming modewhich adjusts to the ambient brightness and reduces stroboscopic flicker. This makes watching movies more comfortable and protects the viewers' eyes.
As for the software, the two TVs run on the MIUI TV system, which offers a rich selection of content and applications. In addition, they support wireless projection from Android, iOS, Windows and Mac, allowing you to easily stream photos, videos and documents to the big screen. Finally, they are equipped with the Xiaoai voice assistant, which allows you to control smart devices throughout the house with simple voice commands.
The prices of the two new televisions are very competitive: the Redmi Smart TV A55 costs 1449 yuan (about 185 euros), while the Redmi Smart TV A70 2024 costs 2299 yuan (about 295 euros). These are very affordable figures for 55 and 70-inch smart TVs with a 4K screen and refined design.
