About a month ago we anticipated the possibility presentation of the next smartphone Redmi of the Y series, let's talk about the Redmi Y3 (S3). Well today, that moment seems to be approaching after an official teaser from one of Xiaomi India's executives in person.
Manu Kumar Jain, this is his name, has in fact shared a video on Twitter where he goes around the office taking selfies with the employees of the Indian branch of the brand.

How do we know that it is the Redmi Y3 (which in China would translate into Redmi S3)? Well, in the video Manu takes 32 selfies in total and at the end we are asked why (“Y” in English), thus suggesting that the new Y series device is around the corner and that it will have a 32MP camera. Everything was then confirmed by the comment following the video that basically repeats this information to us.
But it doesn't end there. In China, at the same time, the general manager of Redmi, Lu Weibing, published a post on the Weibo social network asking users "Redmi needs to create a smartphone with selfie camera from 32MP?".
This, together with the teaser from India, should mean that at least one of the components of the next smartphone of the Y / S series has been confirmed. On the other hand, the front cameras from 32MP are becoming increasingly popular and if there is a series that was to be equipped with the Y and S, known for bringing devices dedicated to selfies, they are probably the right choice.
As for the other specifications, we expect entry-level hardware, so Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 or 636, supported by at least 3GB of RAM and a minimum of 32GB of internal memory (expandable).
