The Xiaomi sub-brand that became independent earlier this year, Redmi, has just presented the new RedmiBook 14 Enhanced Edition. As the name suggests we do not have in front of a new product in itself, but a new version of the portatile released a few months ago.
So we will not see any change in design, except for the addition of two new colors, but an improvement in internal hardware thanks to the new Intel CPUs.

Let's start with the new processors produced by Intel. This is the tenth generation of the well-liked Intel Core series that will replace the eighth-generation CPUs previously equipped on the 14 RedmiBook. In particular we will have the new Intel Core i5-10210U which will replace the Intel Core i5-8265U of the old version, while Intel Core i7-8565 will be replaced by an Intel Core i7-10510U.
From a performance standpoint, the new series promises 13% more in computing power with lower consumption. We will also have a dedicated graphics card, the NVIDIA GeForce MX250 with 2GB of DDR5 RAM for 3,5 graphics performance that is sometimes better than a graphics chip integrated into the processor. The tenth generation Intel Core will then be paired with a maximum of 8GB of RAM DDR4 to 2666Mhz and 256GB or 512Gb of internal SSD type memory.
Finally, with regard to the novelties, we will have two new colors available: Deep Gray (dark gray) and Snow Powder (snow white); which are added to the Moonlight Silver already on the market.
Moving on to the unchanged hardware, we have the 14-inch display and 1920 × 1080 resolution with a screen to body ratio of 81,2%. A thickness of 17,95 mm with the weight that settles on 1,5 kg and an excellent heat dissipation system, in fact we have a fairly wide grid in the lower part of 2530 square millimeters.
Among the other features on board the first Redmi laptop we find the DTS technology for an improved surround effect, Smart Unlock 2.0 and a special mode created by Xiaomi with the name of “Modern Standby” that allows you to wake up the laptop instantly when needed.
Finally, Redmi promises an autonomy of 10 hours with the ability to quickly reload it up to 50% in only 35 minutes. While the available ports are: power supply, 3.5mm audio jack, HDMI, two 3.0 USB and one 2.0 USB.
The RedmiBook 14 Enhanced Edition will go on sale in China on September 6 starting from 3999 Yuan (505 €) for the version with Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage and 4499 Yuan (568 €) if you want 512GB internal memory. Instead, for the variant with Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD memory, 4999 Yuan (€ 631) will have to be paid.
