It has been talked about since last year but has not yet been seen in Europe. The RedmiBook 14 ″, heir to the smallest 13 ″, is one of the most anticipated notebooks. Not only because it is among the Cheaper and well-built laptops on the square, but above all because it is among the first of the homonymous brand. After making a bang with smartphones in fact, Redmi has decided to focus on users who need a work machine of excellent workmanship but at an affordable price. In China we got our hands on it and, with the exception of the thickness, he had convinced us enough. The latest certifications give it in India shortly, and therefore also in Europe.
The laptop of the Xiaomi sub brand, RedmiBook 14 ″ could soon be among us: here is the BIS certification
Now thanks to Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), we know it could be the RedmiBook 14 ″ the first to make its entrance, and perhaps also the only one. The list of devices in the Indian certification database suggests that the launch of the RedmiBook is not too far away.
To calm the hearts we think the leaker Ishan Agarwal who supposes that these, possibly, are only models that are about to be tested in India and that's it. This hypothesis seems somewhat improbable to us, but still better not to give our mouths. Note that they have been put into the certification different models, corresponding to different acronyms: This could mean that they will enter the market more variations. We can assume that in addition to the standard, we will also find the one equipped with AMD Ryzen CPU instead of Intel.
In China the notebook was presented with an almost bezel-less display, with a processor Intel Core i7 and the latest generation of NVIDIA GPUs (for the standard top model). It features a 14 ”IPS display with FullHD resolution and an 81.2% screen-to-body ratio. It comes with octa-core processors i5, i7 and with 4 GB, 8 GB RAM and internal storage variable from 256 GB to 512 GB. The notebook is obviously equipped with Windows 10 Home and a backlit keyboard. RedmiBook 14 Enhanced Edition came later with processors Intel XNUMXth generation.
As far as prices are concerned, everything is obviously worth seeing. Since they have not yet been presented in our market, we can only get an idea: the basic variant can be brought to India to an equivalent of 40.000 rupees, at the current exchange rate approximately € 480. If we then put the costs of the distributors, we easily get to 550 €. Cost still super affordable.
It really sucks: bad screen, no webcam, no keyboard backlight, bad battery, high temperatures, no second SSD slot, no Type C…. continuous? TO poco plus a previous generation Air 13 beats it 10 to 0. Hopefully they'll update the Airs rather!
