Among these, there are companies that have closed stores, others that have withdrawn investments. Google announced the suspension of the Google Play billing system for users in Russia. Google tonight informed Android developers that users of the Play Store in Russia they will soon lose the ability to purchase apps, games, IAPs and subscriptions. The company talks about a "payment system outage" as the reason why will suspend Google Play billing in the coming days. This is when Russia was sanctioned by multiple countries for his invasion of Ukraine. In addition to application purchases, it will not allow subscription payments or in-app purchases of digital goods using Google Play in Russia.
However, the free apps will remain available for download, along with all purchases previously made. There are no other changes to the availability of the Google Play Store in Russia, while the developers can still publish and update applications.

Subscriptions will continue until the end of the current billing period, but will come later canceled for non-payment. As a workaround, Google suggests postponing the renewal. Another possibility offered is to make the apps free or remove the subscription for a fee for this sad period. This solution is primarily intended for applications that provide a “critical service” to users.
