We very rarely go out of the tech sphere but from time to time we happen to talk about curiosities and news that poco have to do with updates, photo modules of smartphones, MIUI and anything else. Some time ago we saw what are the Lei Jun's favorite smartphones, founder founder of our beloved brand, and without too much surprise we discovered that they are all three of the Xiaomi. But as far as "old-time" cell phones are concerned, which will be your favorite? You will be amazed to know that it is not a brand device.
Lei Jun's favorite mobile phone (not a smartphone) is not one: it is an old, but not much, sliding device
Speaking of sliding smartphones, the first that comes to mind is Xiaomi Mi MIX 3: a device that has made itself the standard-bearer of design and that has opened up the market for particular smartphones. But today we talk about a phone and not of a smartphone, and in particular of the Jun Jun's favorite when the company was still an idea. In a post on the Chinese social network Weibo, the CEO and patron of the company reveals that many years ago his favorite mobile phone was a Palm Pre. But if you think this device is any cell phone ten years ago, you are wrong.
In fact, this was one of the first, if not the first, to have two characteristics that are very close to the brand. One of the distinctive features is the sliding mechanism in Mi MIX style 3: this mobile phone was one of the very first to allow access to the physical keyboard through a slider and therefore by bringing the front bezel upwards. The second characteristic surprised us too: the wireless charging. The Palm Pre was in fact a forerunner of this technology which has now become the most sought after in a smartphone. Unfortunately at the time it was too slow and expensive but Lei Jun has been able to appreciate her right away and this is probably one of the reasons why she is choosing to invest a lot on it.
