We have known the SoundPeats company for some time now and it always manages to amaze us with its products, which make us perceive a sense of quality right from the unboxing experience, offering a carefully designed package made of cardboard without any particular additions of plastic, with a careful eye to the environment. In the sales box, in addition to the standard manual and Type-C charging cable, we also find a set of silicone ear tips of different sizes so that the comfort in wearing the earphones is truly meticulous, adapting to practically any type of ear.
CONSTRUCTION AND DESIGN
You will therefore have guessed that the SoundPeats Air4 Pro offer an in-ear design, which basically already allows us to partially isolate ourselves from external sounds and as already mentioned, comfort is one of the strong points of these TWS headphones, which basically also offer a IPX4 certification, therefore also ideal for sports, both outdoors and indoors. They can be held to the ear without discomfort for a few hours, in fact I did not encounter any particular excessive pressure and instead I used them comfortably for some time listening to music, also combining different call sessions.
The brand's audio proposal comes in an elegant black color with a texture that allows the surface not to get immediately dirty with fingerprints and dirt in general, where a small LED stands out on the front which certifies the charge status of the battery of the cup, which can be interrogated via a button positioned on the lower side of the case, where we also find the Type-C charging input, the only way to charge. The mentioned button also allows you to reset the pairing of the earphones.
The lid has an excellent magnet for closing as well as the hinge is robust and stable, in fact even if you shake the earphones strongly these not only do not come out of their seat thanks to equally valid magnets, the lid does not close on itself. Furthermore, I particularly appreciated the presence of the hall sensor, therefore the pairing of the earphones with the smartphone will take place as soon as you open the lid.
AUTONOMY
Before delving into the discovery of the earphones, I immediately want to address the issue of autonomy, which goes up to 26 hours with standard listening at a volume of 70% while this drops to 17,5 hours in the case of active ANC functionality. Autonomy guaranteed by a 330 mAh battery for the case and 35 mAh for the earphones, which with a single charge perform 6 hours in standard mode or 4 hours in ANC mode. But the list of tech delicacies available does not end here, in fact what has been explained so far allows you to converse at 32 KHz quality, meaning your voice will be clear and crystalline as if you were conversing live, thanks also to the presence of 6 microphones (3 per single earphone) which joins the sound modes of the SoundPeats Air4 Pro, such as transparency and adaptive hybrid active noise cancellation. In particular, the proprietary algorithm with AI technology allows you to automatically adapt the degree of noise reduction, based on the environment you are in, be it city traffic or a bar, ranging between reduction values of -30/- 35/-45 dB. I tried them on the plane during a trip to Seville and I was literally amazed because despite the noise of the plane and the voices of the guests on the trip, I managed to isolate myself while enjoying multimedia content, and I even managed to fall asleep for a couple of hours. only with the ANC function active.
But it doesn't end there, because the SoundPeats Air4 Pro offer on each single earphone 1 proximity sensor with automatic Play/Pause function as well as a touch surface that allows you to control the skip of the music track, the recall of the voice assistant of the phone, control the volume and of course manage the available audio modes, manage calls and game mode. In this regard, when we buy a pair of wireless headphones we never think about terms such as privacy and productivity, but with the Air4 Pro these terms become of fundamental importance.
