The second generation of Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold is coming

For convenience we will call it Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold, but the second generation of folding smartphones of the Chinese brand will have another name. What seems certain is that it will already be released during this 2021, and some rumors have already released information on the data sheet of the upcoming device. Let's find out all the news.

The new Xiaomi Mi Mi Fold will have a Snapdragon 888 processor

Among the first "skills" of this device, it should be noted that it should mount a Snapdragon 888 processor, with battery 5000 mAh. In terms of the photographic sector, it could have a rear camera with a main sensor from 108 MP. These are the main technical characteristics of the new Xiaomi folding, which should make its appearance at the end of the year.

Compared to the current one Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold, this second generation will also have a improved hinge, a fundamental element for terminals of this type, on which the Chinese house is focusing a lot. It is no secret that foldable smartphones represent the future: according to DigiTimes Research, shipments will reach 20 million units in 2021.

In the sector, the undisputed master at the moment is Samsung, which has acted in advance of all the others, but Xiaomi is starting to book the place of more serious competitor: last March it announced its Mi Mix Fold, to which within the current year will add this second generation. However, several brands are launching in the sector, from Vivo to Honor (which could launch its first folding).

On this second generation there is no other information, for example regarding the RAM memory, internal storage and photographic sector. It is assumed that the internal display will have a refresh rate of 120 Hz, while the external one will remain at 90 Hz. On the output and availability in the international market, it is not yet legitimate to unbalance. The new Mi Mix Fold could also be sold only in China. We'll see.
