The Supield + Airgel Heated Jacket is now in crowdfunding on the official Xiaomi Youpin website at the price of only 499 yuan, or about 64 euros at the current exchange rate. While once the fundraising campaign is over, the jacket will cost 699 yuan, about 89 euros.
Let's start with the strengths of the Supield + jacket including the three-power and intelligent temperature control technology, super hydrophobic technology and exceptional lightness and thinness in relation to the heat produced.
All this is possible thanks to the layer of airgel material produced by the S. Kistler brand, which integrates 80% of air to obtain an excellent thermal insulation effect. It is also 1 inch thick which can be considered equivalent to 20/30 inches of glass with thermal insulation function. So we are talking about a very high quality material with uncompromising thermal insulation properties.
But isolating ourselves from the outside is of little use if our body is not heated in some way anyway. This is where the intelligent temperature control and heat generation system comes into play. Thanks to this system it will be possible to choose between three temperatures, with the chosen temperature being reached in just ten seconds. The three options we will have are 50 ° C, 60 ° C and 70 ° C, all of which can be activated through a button at the bottom of the jacket. In any case, everything is also very safe as it works at a voltage of 5 volts (with power bank) and can even be cleaned in the washing machine.
Finally, the Supield + Airgel Heated Jacket adopts an outer cover in super hydrophobic material so that drops of water on the surface slide off without entering inside. This material also makes the jacket "anti-stain" that is difficult to get dirty.
