New requirements for unlocking the Xiaomi bootloader

  2. Identity Verification: Real name identity verification is required, introducing a major privacy hurdle.
  3. Active participation: Users are invited to actively participate by answering questions posed within the community.
  4. Validity of the Request: Each unlock request is valid for only one year, after which you will need to submit a new one.
  5. Device Limit: You will be able to unlock up to three devices per year.
  6. Mandatory wait: After the unlock request, you must wait a period of 72 hours before the process can be completed.
  7. Bootloader Blocked for Updates: To receive HyperOS updates, the bootloader must be kept locked.

Xiaomi has taken a firm stance on the security of its HyperOS devices, disabling bootloader unlocking by default.
