Want to try Android Oreo? If you have a Xiaomi Mi 3 or Mi 4 you can do it!

Solar eclipse has left an incredible memory to astronomy enthusiasts. But on the same date Google left the mark for mobile operating systems, officially presenting Android Oreo. Many of you have asked us which Xiaomi devices will receive the upgrade to Android 8.0. Obviously we can not yet know, considering also that for this year, Xiaomi is very comfortable with the release of Android Nougat. Meanwhile, however, owners of Xiaomi Mi 3 and Mi 4 may already experience what is the first stock version of the new Google operating system.

First of all, we thank the XDA team and especially the developer Shahan_mik3 which allows us to test this first release for Xiaomi of the new Android operating system.

Requirements

The developer recommends doing a clean installation, then Wipe System + Wipe Data + Wipe Cache before flashing the new ROM.

We also point out that neither the XiaomiToday team nor the developer feel responsible for any bricks due to procedural errors. In short, be aware of what you are doing!

Many will be asked what bugs there are. The answer is very simple: at the moment there are not, or at least they are not so obvious that their use is affected. Additionally, the developer added the Gboard, the Google Keyboard, the Browser, and the Music app.
