New watch faces for TicWatch dedicated to "The Lion King"

On August 21, 2019, the long-awaited remake of “The Lion King”, one of the most beloved cartoons of all time, will finally be released. To celebrate the event, Mobvoi has seen fit to create watch faces dedicated to cardboard for its devices TicWatch.

Unfortunately, however, given that the Chinese company was unable to obtain the rights to be able to use the protagonist of the film, or Simba, Mobvoi has decided to create a new character inspired by that of Walt Disney Pictures.

The Lion King - The Lion King

The character is called "Sai Ji" and is ironically called the "Lion King cosplayer". Sai Ji also has several friends (always animals) that we will discover together.

There is no good character without a good story behind it, so who is Sai Ji? Sai Ji is a kind, playful and polite lion. The little lion is often found in the company of three of his friends. We have a duck called "Twinkle", a pig called "Prince Piggy" and finally a raccoon called "Ponda".

The watch faces of each character are then inspired by works of art. Starting with the lion Sai Ji inspired by the painting "The Death of Marat" (also known as Murdered Marat), the Twinkle duck inspired by "The Girl with the Turban" (also known as Girl with a Pearl Earring), the pig Prince Piggy inspired by the Mona Lisa and the Ponda raccoon inspired by the portrait of the artist Vincent van Gogh.
