While in Italy we celebrate the sale of a few days of Notes redmi 8 Pro, more than a month after the official presentation in China, the global branch of our favorite Chinese brand seems instead already ahead with the work, in fact announcing another device perhaps much more interesting and wanted by Xiaomi fans, let's talk about Redmi Note 8, or the younger brother of the Note 8 Pro.
In reality however, as we already knew, the Note 8 is much more similar to its predecessor, the Redmi Note 7, than to the more powerful Note 8 Pro. This is from the point of view of the specifications (processor in particular), and for how much it's about design. Although we still find some really interesting updates. Let's find out together!
Redmi Note 8 Global official with 4 cameras and Snapdragon 665
Let's start with the design which, as we said previously, does not differ much from the Note 7, so we have the same body in Corning Gorilla Glass 5 with resistance to scratches and shocks both in the front and the rear. Moreover, even the screen remains unchanged with an 6,39 inch LCD panel with TÜV Rheinland Eye certification and a Screen to Body ratio (screen-shell ratio) of the 90%.
Where we see the real difference is instead on the back. The Redmi Note 8 equips a total of four rear cameras, including the main one from 48MP (Samsung ISOCELL GM1 sensor) with f / 1,79 aperture, a secondary from 8MP with ultra wide-angle lens, a depth sensor from 2MP and a camera from 2MP for macros. While for selfies we have an 13MP sensor with various embellishment modes.
Also in the back we find then a new sensor of small fingerprints of small dimensions (of around the 30%), that at least on the paper it should work well as that of the Note 7. Moreover, both for the reduced dimensions and for the additional aesthetic treatment, the sensor is very difficult to notice and therefore makes the back look much more homogeneous.
Turning to internal hardware instead, the smartphone equips a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665, a good upgrade compared to the SD 660 of the Note 7, which mainly brings improvements from the energy point of view with a production process at 11nm against the predecessor's 14nm. The new CPU will then be powered by the typical 4000mAh battery of the Note series for at least two days of autonomy.

Finally, among other specifications we have a USB Type-C port with support for fast charging to 18W, an infrared emitter (IR), an audio jack from 3.5mm to be able to connect our favorite headphones / speakers.
The Redmi Note 8 will be available in the colors Space Black, Neptune Blue and Moonlight White, while prices have not yet been officially revealed.
