Unveiled presentation date and specific cameras of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, but not only

Xiaomi has in fact revealed that the 13 Ultra uses a new combination of three sensors Sony IMX858 and a Sony IMX989 sensor, so as to obtain complete focal coverage.

Among them, the main camera clearly uses the Sony IMX989 sensor, which it is currently the most powerful optical sensor for smartphones and which had already been adopted in the previous generation, or the Xiaomi 12S Ultra.

The secondary camera uses the Sony IMX858, the most technologically advanced Sony mobile sensor and the only sensor that is on par with IMX989 in terms of functional characteristics and dubbed the “little giant”. This sensor is often used in combination with the Sony IMX989.

The reason for this is that the Sony IMX858 is the only Sony sensor that supports MCSS (Multi-camera Synchronization System), this means it can achieve better multi-camera consistency, and it is also the only sensor that supports LN2 low noise mode except for the Sony IMX989.

At the same time, the Sony IMX858 supports 100% PDAF full pixel focus and same DOL-HD technology as Sony IMX989. While thanks to the 12-bit ADC, it can achieve extremely high dynamic range.

Also, as mentioned earlier, to ensure great quality across all focal lengths, the new phone uses three IMX858 sensors, so that all secondary cameras have the same imaging capabilities and are strictly in line with the main camera.

With the ISZ extended focal length function, the four cameras can achieve a total of six focal lengths, covering a zoom range from 12mm to 240mm. By calculating the overall photosensitivity, the apertures of these three secondary cameras are all magnified and the amount of light entering is 14-43% higher than that of the previous generation.

In addition to the specifications of the photographic sector, today we have also seen the smartphone terminus on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. The smartphone equipped with the Qualcomm's second generation Snapdragon 8 processor, Together with 16GB RAM memory he got a single-core score of 1473 and a multi-core score of 5095, therefore substantially similar to the previous Mi 13.
