With huge surprise Xiaomi has announced the Xiaomi Band 8, the new generation smartband of which at the moment we still know nothing. This month will be the month intended for the release not only of Xiaomi 13Ultra (in China and Europe), but also of the smart watch and Xiaomi pad 6, the sixth generation tablet. The release date of Xiaomi Pad 6 is the 18 April 2023. There has been discussion about adopting a Qualcomm platform for the new tablets Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro, known as “pipa” and “liuqin” respectively. The basic model of the Pad 6 would be equipped with the Snapdragon 870, already present on the Pad 5 Pro model, while the Pro model would take advantage of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 or even a possible MediaTek Dimensity 9000 series variant. The maximum memory would be 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
The battery could be 10.000 mAh compared to the previous Pad 5 models, but fast charging would considerably increase the speed, passing from 33W to 67W in the basic model and from 67W to 120W in the more advanced one, for the Chinese version. For the global version of Xiaomi Pad 6 (2304RP34G) the base model could have a maximum charging speed of 27W, according to the SGS certification. Among other specifications, support for a dedicated keyboards and styluses for productivity, a dual rear camera, 5G support, Dual Band Wi-Fi and NFC and four stereo speakers. In fact, there is even talk of one refurbished keyboard which would include a trackpad and gesture support, making the new Xiaomi tablets an ideal solution for the workplace.
