Xiaomi, the Chinese technology giant, is preparing the launch of its new flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 14Ultra, which will be one of the most advanced and powerful devices of 2024.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra: a photo of the camera module leaks
One of the most interesting innovations concerns the rear camera module, which continues the circular design of the previous generation (Xiaomi 13 Ultra), but introduces some significant improvements. The blogger bald panda has in fact published a photo on Weibo showing the camera module of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, revealing some details on its features.
The photo clearly shows the logo Leica Summilux, which confirms the collaboration between Xiaomi and the famous German camera brand. The main camera supportsvariable aperture from f/1.63 to f/4.0, which allows you to adapt the amount of light entering the sensor based on lighting conditions and obtain different depth of field effects. The periscope camera has an aperture of f/2.5 and offers a high optical zoom.
According to the previously exposed news, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is equipped with four 50MP rear cameras each, covering a complete focal range, from wide angle to telephoto. The sensor used is the Sony LYT900, which offers superior image quality and greater light sensitivity.
For comparison, it Xiaomi 13 Ultra had a main camera with variable aperture, but only at two levels: f/1.9 and f/4.0. This camera was equipped with a one-inch Sony IMX989 sensor, while the other three cameras used the Sony IMX858 sensor.
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra therefore promises to be one of the best smartphones for photography, capable of competing with models from other brands such as Samsung, Apple and Huawei. In addition to the photographic sector, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra also stands out for other high-level features, such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 2K AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 5180mAh battery with 90W fast charging and 50W wireless charging, the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor integrated into the screen and two-way satellite connectivity.
At the moment, Xiaomi has not yet communicated the release date and price of its new smartphone, but it is expected that it will be launched first in China and then in other markets, including Italy. For those looking for a top-of-the-range smartphone, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra could be an excellent choice.
