Of course MIUI 13: Xiaomi's future lies in the auto sector, as Lei Jun himself also stated. In 2024 we will see the the company's first vehicle and that will be a historic moment. However, the Chinese giant does not think only of the electric car itself, but also of theinterface between your smartphones and the car. Here is born then CarWith. A sort of Android Auto enhanced to the nth degree to use the smartphone through the car and vice versa. But let's go see the details.
MIUI evolves: Xiaomi is previewing its proprietary CarWith smartphone-auto interface. Here it is in the first spy photos
Chinese sources announce that Xiaomi is working on CarWith. It is, as anticipated, a proprietary interface between smartphone and car. The first details emerge after the beta update of the development version MIUI 13 22.2.7 of a Xiaomi 11 with Chinese ROM. The smartphone and car are reportedly connected via CarWith and the services of navigation, music, phone (and other services) can be used on the car's central control screen. In essence, the on-board computer turns into a smartphone. In any case, this function is not yet available to the public and clicking on "supported models" the message "this feature is under development".
On the left we see the CarWith option that can be activated on the MIUI settings. What we see on the right is instead the "auto mode”(Let's call it that for convenience) on the on-board computer. As we can see, the Xiaomi smartphone is displayed on the screen as it is. But this turns out to be much more easy to use compared to a mobile device precisely because it is designed for this. Clearly the interface as it appears is very basic and needs a lot of work. Let's hope it becomes a kind of Xiaomi-style Android Auto, clearly based on MIUI.
