Here is the first gadget of the week presented by Xiaomi: the new DDPAI miniONE Dashcam Night Vision, which as you will understand from the name, is a dashcam for cars. Although called One, this is not the first cam of this brand, but a new variant of the MiniOne that now includes the Night Vision feature.
Having the Night Vision, or night vision, is obviously something fundamental on a dashcam since we also drive at night (or in the dark), especially in winter with shorter days. It is probably even more useful at night with less visibility and greater likelihood of an accident.

From the aesthetic point of view, the DDPAI miniONE comes in a very compact cylindrical body. The camera can be rotated of 360 degrees, so it can record video both to the inside of the car and out on the road.
The DDPAI miniONE Dashcam Night Vision equips an excellent camera with a Sony IMX307 sensor formed by pixels from well 2.9um, so well above average, while the focal aperture is f / 1.8. The lens with 140 ° of vision that covers the sensor is made up of a six-layer glass, which increases the entrance of light, useful especially in low light conditions. So, if there is little light or total darkness, the camera will be able to capture car license plates clearly.
As for the rest of the hardware, the dashcam has a G-force sensor, so it can understand when there is a sudden braking or an accident, in which case the video is saved and is not overwritten in any case.
Furthermore, videos are recorded on eMMC internal memory with different advantages. Firstly, there is no need to buy external memory cards, having an internal memory also means decreasing the possibility of having corrupted videos almost totally, the reading speed is five times faster than the TF memory and is also safer. At the same time, the eMMC memory allows you to delete data up to 5000 times, or 10 times more than the TF memory.
The dashcam is available in two versions with 16GB and 32GB of internal memory on which to record video using the latest H.265 codec which compresses the size of the videos without altering the quality. Finally, the DDPAI miniONE Dashcam Night Vision has a voice control system to take pictures, record videos and more using voice commands.
The DDPAI miniONE Dashcam Night Vision version is now for sale on the Xiaomi website for the price of 299 yuan (40 €) for the 16GB version and 369 Yuan (50 €) if you want 32GB internal memory. Almost certainly, soon we will find it from different retailers, even if with slightly higher prices.
