Xiaomi is not new to the production of audio devices: the company has already launched several speakers in the past and the Piston earphone line is doing well, also thanks to the arrival of the Piston Pro, which we have already talked about , here. At the beginning of the 2016 the company has also launched an internet radio with touch controls, which can only be used together with a smartphone, using the Mi Home app.
This limitation has certainly not helped the device's popularity. Xiaomi has taken note of this and today proposes a new internet speaker, much more flexible and functional. The model in question is quite large and weighs 1,6 kg, is equipped with the Amlogc 8726M3 Cortex A9 processor and supports WiFi and Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity. Unlike its predecessor, the speaker allows you to listen to music even without an internet connection, being equipped with 8 Gb of storage space and a USB 2.0 port, as well as an auxiliary jack.
An interesting feature of the speaker allows multiple users to customize their audio preferences, which can then be accessed by pressing the CH key. The device also supports voice control and can act as a clock radio if necessary. The peripheral is not powered by a battery and must therefore be connected to an electrical network in order to function. According to Xiaomi it will be possible to access a database of over 20 million songs, over 1500 radio stations and 120 million audio books. It will be possible to buy the device starting November 25, at a cost of ¥ 399 (about 55 euros).
