“Italia Riflessa”: the new Xiaomi campaign to celebrate the arrival of the Xiaomi 13T series

A city holds many faces and stories are hidden behind each of them. Some of these stories, even in their simplicity, can prove extraordinary. Sometimes, one shot is enough to capture the essence of a life, just like Henri Cartier-Bresson did with a stolen leap behind the Saint-Lazare train station.

The “Reflected Italy” project

Every photographic shot can become a snapshot of authentic moments, and Xiaomi brought this idea to its latest project, "Italia Riflessa", on the occasion of the launch of the Xiaomi 13T Series. This series offers the public a professional-level photography experience thanks to the collaboration with Leica. The project is a journey to discover the cities of Rome, Naples and Milan, a tribute to the art of photography capable of capturing life in its purest essence, one story at a time.

Starting from the claim of the new smartphone series, "The masterpiece in every story", three photographers Certified by Leica - Carmine Benincasa, Nicola D'Orta and Federica Cocciro - capture gestures and lives of ordinary people in these different cities. The tour started on October 10th and also sees the participation of three content creators, Francesca Noè (amilanopuoi), Carolina Cosentino (Piaceridiroma) and Marco Marfella (Ilmenestrelloh), who explore the stories of the cities through their social channels.

The results of this journey are testimonies of authentic stories, selected for the occasion and told by an exceptional storyteller, Francesco Oggiano. During the Italian tour, Francesco transforms shots into words, creating collective narratives divided by theme. These stories will come to life on the page dedicated to the “Italia Riflessa” project on https://event.mi.com/it/italia-riflessa.

“The masterpiece in every story” is the slogan of the Xiaomi 13T series, and it is the inspiration for this project. Davide Lunardelli, Head of Marketing Xiaomi Italia, states: “A reflection, made of portraits by Leica and the words of Francesco Oggiano, on the stories that surround us in everyday life. Stories in which we can see each other again and from which we can learn something new, just waiting to be captured.”

Where to follow the project

The project is now active on Xiaomi Italia's social channels with a launch video. It will also be presented in one of the episodes of the Xiaomi podcast "Stories of Smart Life", with Oggiano as a guest. This episode will compare the connections, passions and stories told in the three cities.

In conclusion, there will be a physical event open to the public called "Talk in Store," which will be held at the Xiaomi Store Italia in Arese on 11 and 12 November. During the event, Francesco Oggiano will tell the stories of “Italia Riflessa,” together with photographers and creators, and will inaugurate an exhibition that will allow the public to immerse themselves in the stories of the protagonists of the campaign.

“Italia Riflessa” is the social version of a larger multimedia campaign, launched together with the Xiaomi 13T Series, which will continue until the end of October. Xiaomi's claim "The masterpiece in every story" will be visible on TV, DOOH, train stations and on digital and social channels.
