A few days after the official arrival of the next top of the range Xiaomi, there are news about prices and specifications. In particular, yesterday we saw how its cost could be around 3500 to 5200 yuan in China (taking the data with due caution); today, however, there are new more succulent in the hardware sector of the smartphone. As announced by the company Micron, but also from Lei Jun, Lu Weibing e Chang Cheng in his wake, Xiaomi Mi 10 will be the first smartphone in the world to be presented with an LPDDR5 RAM. This product will allow a speed never seen before in terms of processamento e data writing.
Xiaomi Mi 10 will have an LPDDR5 type RAM and will be the first to use it
Micron officially released the first chip this morning LPDDR5 Micron RAM and announced that it was the first to deliver it to our beloved brand, which will mount it on his Xiaomi Mi 10. This also means that Xiaomi Mi 10 will become the the first smartphone with LPDDR5 RAM in the world.
According to when officially communicated by the company its new LPDDR5 RAM will allow smartphones with 5G connection to process data at a transmission speed ranging from 5.5 to 6.4 Gbps, ensuring higher performance but with one less energy demand. In fact, compared to the previous LPDDR4x memory, the L can work by consuming the 20% less energy.
But how will the user see the difference in concrete use? Lthe most direct manifestation is the battery lifein fact, according to the data, since LPDDR5 works faster, application processing and computational speed are faster, therefore terminals equipped with this type of hardware will have a estimated 5% - 10% increase in battery life.
Currently the technology in the hands of Micron allows to have "only" the cuts from 6 GB, 8 GB e 12 GB: this means that, unlike what was announced yesterday, it will be unlikely that Xiaomi Mi 10 will be presented with a RAM memory from 16 GB. The company also announced that it is determined to apply this memory also to the smartphones of medium-high band through UFS-based multi-chip packaging (uMCP5) during the first half of 2020. This is probably a clue Redmi will also use the same technology.
If already the previous type of memory could support video in 8K and process a 100 megapixel camera, we can't imagine what other things we can do with this new one. The company gives us clues: holographic games, augmented reality applications thanks to 5G, opening more than 300 applications without feeling the slightest effort. What do you say, will it be enough?
