A couple of days ago Xiaomi started the marketing campaign for the next Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra. Usually the brand reveals several details daily before the presentation, but this time it does not seem to want to reveal too much, perhaps because it is a "gift" to celebrate 10 years of life? In any case, the Chinese leaksters do not think so as they continue to reveal new very interesting data, the last of which concerns the charging technology, but not only.
Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra: Leak unveils 42W wireless charging, cover and up to 16GB of RAM
In fact, in the last few days, we have talked several times about two fast charging technologies that we will most likely find on board the device, the 100W cable and 40W wireless one. Other rumors even gave the Mi 10 Ultra coming with a 55W wireless charging, but this seems to have just been denied by a new leak.
The image above shows us two accessories for the next super flagship of the Chinese brand. In particular, we see a base for wireless charging and covers in three different colors. But let's temporarily return to the charging base, which seems to have the wording "42W". Now it doesn't take long to understand that that will be the output power of the charger and that therefore the Mi 10 Ultra should support at least 42W.
Furthermore, according to the same Chinese bloggers, the 55W power that was previously rumored should be the input of the base in question. In other words, it needs 55W to work, but in reality it emits “only” 42W to recharge the smartphone.
For those not in the know, with 42W it would still be the fastest wireless charging technology in the world, which would raise even more the bar that currently belongs to the Mi 10 Pro with a 30W wireless charging. The only company that currently approaches Xiaomi with regards to wireless charging is OPPO which has already announced the OPPO AirVOOC with a power of 65W, but the technology is probably still far from entering the market.
Moving on to the covers, we see three in green, orange and black colors. All three appear to show a wide enough opening for the rear camera module. But this doesn't surprise us given that we had already seen something similar a few days ago.
Finally, according to the latest rumors, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra will be available in at least two materials for the back, glass and ceramic. But a version with transparent back cover could also arrive to honor the Xiaomi Mi 8 and Mi 9. The smartphone will also be available with a maximum of 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal memory.
The "Soli" 42 watts out of 55 is an excellent result knowing that above all on the basis of the current basic wireless chargers, if 5A enters, 2,5 Amperes come out, i.e. half of the applied power is currently lost. Only 30% is lost… We hope for the specifications that it also has IP68
