Xiaomi has just announced that starting from today's 10: 00, 7 May 2019, the new “RUOK” covers will officially go on sale on the Xiaomi website.
There are five different covers in total, all compatible with both the Xiaomi Mi 9 and the Transparent Edition version. The covers are available in different colors: purple, red, orange, green and purple-blue. The latter in purple-blue color differs from the others in that it has the word "ARE U OK", instead of "RUOK".

But what does "RUOK" mean and why create covers with this acronym? Many of you will have already realized that "RUOK" stands for "Are you OK?" Which translated into Italian becomes "All right?".
But the motivation behind this choice is much more interesting and fun. The phrase "Are You OK?" said by Lei Jun it went viral in 2015. The co-founder of Xiaomi would in fact show off his "Chinglish" in a conference in India for the presentation of the Xiaomi Mi4i poco more than five years ago and the acronym “RUOK” has haunted him ever since.

Lei Jun seems to have taken it well though and in fact has ordered the production of this series of covers for all the fans of the brand, and why not, probably even her fans will be crazy about it. So Chinese users will now have two choices, the cover with the word LEIJUN which we saw about a month ago or these new ones with "RUOK".
In conclusion, all five covers have been created with a PU material and will go on sale in China at around 49 Yuan, or around 6,50 €.
