It has been a difficult end of the year for owners of Xiaomi Mi A3. In general, unfortunately, it was a hell of a year for the entire Mi A series of the brand, which mounts Android One. Yesterday we saw how the latest release of the series has received the update to Android 11... but unfortunately having a devastating effect. All users who own the device found themselves with one smartphone unusable following a brick. At the moment the company has not communicated anything but the Italian users have started to move with one petition.
Again petition for Xiaomi Mi A3: the device has a serious problem, the brick leads to irreversible block and users move to Change.org
Just a few minutes ago we received news that some Italian users have started one petition on Change.org. The subject of the petition is obviously Xiaomi Mi A3 which unfortunately has become a card holder. Following the update released yesterday which carried Android 11 (build number V12.0.2.0.RFQMIXM), the device turned off and no one was able to turn it on anymore. The problem affects all users: from India to Pakistan to Italy. At the moment nothing official was communicated from the brand, also thanks to the holiday period that slows everything down.
In comments section of our dedicated article many users claim to have contacted the assistance service. This could only "turn the problem" to a service center. Despite this, however, some have decided to take a class action against Xiaomi giving life to a petition on Change.org. In the description of the petition, the "refund or replacement”Of the smartphone, perhaps pending resolution of the problem.
At the moment there is no established method to bring the smartphone back to the pre-update state so we would strongly advise you to follow the advice of other users: go to a service center. The technicians are probably able to work around the problem and maybe proceed with the flash of the ROM. We will continue to keep you updated, stay tuned.
Good morning,
these days I received the update, can anyone tell me if it is appropriate to install it?
thank you

No problem 👍🏼
Certainly the best solution for those who have unwittingly provided the update is to go to a local service center and check if it is possible to solve the problem immediately, certainly more inconvenient for those who have to send it.
Personally, given the umpteenth problem on this device, given the unofficial abandonment of the Android One program, the best solution would be that (also to recover in the image) to give the possibility with an official update (since it is technically possible), of switch to the MIUI platform with 2 future updates.
