Xiaomi Mi A3 it starts to get a certain age but that doesn't mean that the updates don't arrive. Of course, we can't say that the latest updates have solved all the problems, but in general we know that the whole Serie A is just an experiment poco succeeded. Indeed, Android One has been completely abandoned by Xiaomi. However, there is an interesting update that solves two known problems: that of the DPI and the charging time not shown.
Xiaomi Mi A3 receives the V12.0.8.0RFQMIXM update which solves two bugs: the one related to the DPI and the one that does not show the charging time
Reportedly, the update V12.0.8.0 RFQMIXM (therefore Global branch) for Xiaomi Mi A3 has brought several improvements. It was needed given the problems the device had in the receiving Android 11. Overall this new update for Xiaomi's latest Android One has fixed 18 common vulnerabilities and bugs. Among these, however, there were two particularly annoying ones that seem to have disappeared. This is the problem related to DPI and what did not allow to see the remaining charging time.
The problem related to the DPI (therefore to the resolution of the screen) manifested itself through some app icons that appeared to be either too large or too small after some time using the smartphone. As for the other problem, on the lock screen the remaining charging time to reach 100% of the battery was not shown.
The update in question weighs approx 36 MB, therefore it is derisory. It should have come to everyone how much, but if it doesn't, we have two paths. One, the one we recommend, is of wait for the update to arrive via OTA (which we can do through the Android updater); the other, is to download the corresponding firmware version but considering the problems that have previously occurred with the updates, we might as well wait.

I got the update, but (at least to me) the size is just 12,48MB.
The description is identical to that published, it differs only in size (36,84 against 12,48 MB).
Could you implement only the security patches and not the troubleshooting mentioned in the article?
Is the build number the same? I honestly don't know. It might be so indeed, but it seems strange to me. At the moment, however, there are no problems with this update, so I would tell you to proceed without delay.
No, the build number is different (12.0.6.0.RFQEUXM). It would be interesting to understand what build number other users have received (the one like mine or the one in the published article). I take this opportunity to ask for the Mi A3 until it will be updated (officially) given Xiaomi's abandonment of the AndroidOne project and if for the future, if there are problems with updates / product stability, it will be possible to "migrate" to the MIUI platform having read that the Mi A3 from the hardware point of view is identical to the Mi CC9 that mounts the MIUI and has been updated to the stable 12.5 for a few days.... So, first a clarification: your ROM is an EU and not an MI (it is always global, but the updates are slightly delayed on the EU compared to the "classic") so you haven't received this update yet. As for your question, it's hard to say precisely for AndroidOne has fallen by the wayside. But we can get there: if you consider that Mi A2 Lite will end its support (on paper) in June of this year, Mi A3 could finish it in the same period next year considering that it came out a year later. You are not wrong to say that they are identical, but the MIUI 12.5... Read the rest »
Regarding the clarification, I understand that sooner or later this update will come to me too. Quite right?
As for updates and custom ROMs, should I wait for the official updates and product warranty to end to proceed with the ParanoidAndroid?
Is this ROM perfectly compatible with the devices or can there be bugs?
thank you
That's right, it arrives but clearly we don't know when. After all, the sequence number of your update is older than the current one.
Well, look this is up to you. I would advise you to change immediately, but only to try something new and less "buggy". Of course, these are not bug-free ROMs, those unfortunately don't exist. But you can do a search to see which ones are the best. Start from , promising.
