Last night, Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun announced that he will be giving his annual speech on August 10th. During the speech he will reveal the 10 most difficult decisions he has had to make since the birth of the brand.
Xiaomi Mi CC 11 / Mi Note 11 is very close to launch: the product manager says so
Well, Xiaomi product manager Wei Siqi commented on this announcement saying that at Lei Jun's conference the company will not release the new Xiaomi CC series, but that will happen very soon anyway.
So the product manager seems to confirm that the series is on the way, but not on August 10th. What comes a few weeks later?
Recall that the CC series is the one in which Xiaomi focuses everything on high-end imaging.
The Xiaomi Mi CC series launched in 2019 was indeed able to dominate the famous DxOMark photo benchmarking platform with its first device, the Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro Premium Edition. Smartphone that we then saw in Italy with the name of Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Pro.
The Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro Premium Edition was also the first smartphone in the world with a 100 megapixel sensor, which allowed it to get 130 points on DxOMark in the photo category and 102 points for videos, with a total score of 121. The Mi CC9 Pro Premium Edition was first in the standings together with the Huawei Mate 30 Pro on equal points.
Despite the success of the CC9 Pro, Xiaomi has never updated the CC series. Now, after almost 2 years of waiting, the CC series is expected to debut in the coming months (or weeks).
Xiaomi executive Zeng Xuezhong previously revealed that the Xiaomi imaging team has greatly improved the selfie mode this year, optimizing more than 30 shooting experiences. We expect to see these improvements especially within the Mi CC series which, as mentioned above, is all about photography.
