Of Xiaomi Mi Drone we have now widely spoken, proposing it to you the official unboxing that a video sample. But recently, on the official MIUI forum (whose application was recently released on the Play Store), a thorough review of the aerial drone has been posted.
By leaving all the hardware part we talked about in the presentation article, we will focus on how to assemble the various parts, on the software, on the application to be downloaded and on how to drive. Moving now to the pairing phase of the Xiaomi Mi Drone with the smartphone, the first thing to do is download the FiMi App application (the QR Code with the link is available in the user manual). Then you have to connect the smartphone to the controller using the USB cable.
At this point you are ready to turn on both the drone and the controller (a quick pressure and immediately after a long press on the ignition key). But before going any further, you need to enable data connection on your smartphone, GPS, and USB tethering.
By opening the FiMi application now, we will be offered a screen for pairing the two devices. Once paired, you may need to download a firmware update.
Once completed, we will be projected directly into the eyes of the Xiaomi Mi Drone (in the camera). However, before approaching the flight, you must calibrate the inner compass. Again, a video tutorial comes to our aid:
