One of the future smartphone outlets is undoubtedly represented by flexible displays. At the moment, we do not have any commercial smartphones that will allow us to fold the displays as we please, but we already have smartphones with a floating display.
As you will surely know, it is not a mystery that Xiaomi is working on the construction of a smartphone with Samsung Galaxy S7 edge or Samsung Galaxy Note 7 curved display (shortly there will be a comparison with Xiaomi Mi5). As if that was not enough, it should be for the very least Samsung to provide displays to Xiaomi. Over the past few days a leaked image emerged in the network showing the working prototype of Xiaomi Mi Edge (temporary name).
The image is grainy and generally not of optimal quality (as most of the leaked images are). However, it is also sufficiently detailed to show the presence of a central physical key under which a fingerprint sensor is most likely to be located.
However, considering the nature of the image, we recommend taking it with the pliers and the benefit of the doubt. Because of its similarity, it may be a montage where a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has been modified with the Mi logo and a MIUI style UI.
However, the Xiaomi Mi Edge exists and is in development. If this smartphone is not what we refer to as Xiaomi Mi Note 2, then most likely the presentation of the Xiaomi Mi Edge will be postponed to next year.
