Lo Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha presented in September 2019 it is certainly one of the most innovative smartphones in history. The Xiaomi concept phone in fact adopts a 360 degree screen called "Surround Display" which rotates around the side edges to create an unparalleled visual and user experience.
Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha will be replaced by the successor with Snapdragon 865?
As you may already know, however, after more than 5 months, the smartphone has not yet gone on sale, either in China or in the rest of the world. This is mainly due to the production problems brought by the truly unique design.
Well, apparently Xiaomi would have decided to abandon the original Mi MIX Alpha, or the version with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus, and go directly to the successor, this time with the new more modern and performing Snapdragon 865.
According to the latest rumors coming from China, Xiaomi would already be working on the device that would be codenamed "Draco". As just mentioned the main difference, if not the only one, will be the processor used, the Snapdragon 865. Everything else should remain unchanged. We will therefore find 12GB of LPDDR4X four channel RAM (with a maximum frequency of 2133MHz) and 512GB of internal memory of the UFS 3.0 type. Then there will be a flexible Super AMOLED screen with a 7.92-inch diagonal with a screen to body ratio of 180.8%.
Among other specifications we have a main 108MP camera, Samsung ISOCELL HMX sensor, accompanied by a 20MP camera with ultra wide angle lens and a 12MP camera with telephoto lens. Finally, the smartphone equips a 4050mAh battery with 40W fast charging support (there is no wireless charging).
We close by specifying that unfortunately we have no information on the possible release date or if it will finally be produced in large quantities.
