Confirming the teasers of the previous days, Xiaomi has just announced the new Mi Notebook Pro 15 and 14, two high-end laptops with a very elegant design; let's go and discover them together!
Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro 15 and 14 official: Samsung OLED E4 screen and 3.5K resolution
As the name suggests, the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro 15 comes with a 15-inch diagonal display and that we can consider the strong point of this laptop. It is in fact an OLED panel with a 3.5K Super Retina resolution, or 3456 × 2160 pixels, for a PPI of 261 PPI. We therefore have over 7,64 million pixels, 3,6 times those of a normal FHD screen.
The OLED screen also uses the famous Samsung E4 material, which reduces the power consumption by 16% compared to the previous generation E3 material. The brightness reaches 400 nits, the color depth is 10 bits, the contrast ratio goes up to 1000000: 1 and really dark blacks with a brightness of 0 nits.
Finally, as far as the display is concerned, this supports two color gamut modes: 3% DCI-P100 wide color gamut and 100% sRGB high color gamut. It has passed Rheinland TüV's Low Blue Light hardware certification and Eye Care Display certification.
Moving on to the other specs, the laptop comes with the latest 35th generation Intel H11 processor, with dedicated MX450 graphics.
The Mi Notebook Pro 15 is then equipped with two USB Type-C ports and a Thunderbolt 4 interface that supports dual 4K or single 8K video output and supports up to five displays simultaneously. Furthermore, always with Thunderbolt 4 you can recharge the laptop (66Whr battery) at a maximum power of 100W, you can transmit data up to 40GBps and play videos at 8K and 60 Hz.
For prices, the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro 15 will be available in China in three configurations: i5 + 16 GB + 512 GB + integrated video card for 6499 yuan (840 €); i5 + 16 GB + 512 GB + dedicated video card for 6999 yuan (900 €); i7 + 16GB + 512GB + dedicated video card for 7999 yuan (1030 €).
As for the Mi Notebook Pro 14, it is a laptop very similar to its older brother, but it has a display downgrade that is no longer OLED but LCD and a 2.5K resolution, even if the refresh rate settles at 120Hz.
The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro 14 has a starting price of 5299 yuan (690 €) for the version with i5 + 16 GB + 512 GB + integrated video card.
Xiaomi also announced that the Mi Notebook 15 Pro Ryzen Edition will be launched in March with an AMD Ryzen 5000H on board.
