Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 certified in Russia: launch ever closer

The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 seems increasingly close to launch since in the last few days new rumors continue to follow each other about the next tablet of the Chinese brand. Today in particular we are dealing with certification on the site of the EEC certification body in Russia.

Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 certified in Russia: launch ever closer

Clearly this new certification is the one that interests us in the first place as the products certified by the EEC are typically issued in Europe and therefore also in our country.

Unfortunately, however, the certification does not reveal any specifics of the tablet, but only that its model number is “21051182G”.

Recall that according to previous leaks, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 will come in three variants, one with Snapdragon 860, one with 870 and one with the mid-range Snapdragon 768G. The latter chip is based on a 7nm manufacturing process and the performance of the CPU and GPU is 15% higher than that of the Snapdragon 765G. The chip also integrates the Snapdragon X52 baseband, has the fifth generation AIE engine, Wi-Fi 6 (2 × 2), Bluetooth 5 and other technologies that make it one of the most complete processors of the 7xx series.

We also know, again thanks to leaks, that the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 will be equipped with the best audio / video specifications, with the front that will see an 11-inch screen, with a resolution of 2560 * 1600, support for a refresh rate 120Hz, 240Hz tactile sampling rate, 4096-level touch control and In-Cell active pen technology, comparable to iPad Pro.

However, it is still unclear whether these specifications will apply to the entire series or only to the more expensive variants like the one with the Snapdragon 870.

Previously, Xu Jieyun, a Xiaomi executive, revealed that one of the MIUI team's focus this year is the tablet operating system, which means that the new Xiaomi tablet will be equipped with a deeply customized new MIUI.

Current rival Huawei has brought many multi-screen capabilities to the tablet, breaking the barrier between the tablet and smartphone, allowing content to be transferred between the two devices seamlessly. We will have to see something similar on Xiaomi's tablets too.
