Teaser Xiaomi Mi TV 5

Xiaomi is in fact the leading TV producer in the Asian country and is most likely destined to stay on top with the latest TV series presented. A few months ago, in fact, the Chinese giant launched the Mi TV Pro, a line of televisions with large dimensions and a maximum resolution of 8K. While yesterday we had a taste of what we will see on November 5th with the new series of Xiaomi Mi TV 5.

Well, today it has also been revealed a really interesting detail that will make many fans of the brand happy, or at least those who live in China. The company has indeed confirmed that the new TV series will be equipped with Quantum Dot Display technology, that is the one used by the most premium Samsung TVs.

The Quantum Dot Display is a type of screen based on semiconductor nanocrystals that can produce red, green and blue monochromatic light. They are distinguished by the high volume of color, ie the depth of color when the brightness changes. Specifically on Xiaomi Mi TV 5 we will find a QLED display with a range of 108% NTSC colors, so a very wide range and rich colors.

The QLED panel could also come from Samsung itself that dominates this sector, which would bring an excellent upgrade compared to the previous series that instead use the most common LCD and LED panels.

Xiaomi Mi Mural TV

So Xiaomi seems willing to enter the field of premium TV with this next series, although as usual we expect very competitive prices. And yes, we know that Xiaomi already has an ultra-premium TV, that is the Mi Mural TV presented in April this year, but that is something for the few with a price of almost 1000 euro at the exchange rate.
