When the new one was presented OnePlus X, the first thing we thought was the striking resemblance of his technical card with it Xiaomi Mi4. Despite this, Xiaomi's smartphone still has a more precious metal construction and has 1 years on its shoulders. By contrast, OnePlus X has not been presented as a top of the range but as a mid range.
Let's try to parse and compare specification by specifying both:
Xiaomi Mi4 | OnePlus X | |
Dimensions: | 139.2 x 68.5 x 8.9 mm | 140 x 69 x 6.9 mm |
Display | 5 inch IPS Full HD | 5 inch OLED Full HD |
SoC | Qualcomm MSM8974-AC Snapdragon 801 | Qualcomm MSM8974-AB Snapdragon 801 |
RAM | 3 GB | 3 GB |
Storage | 16 GB (not expandable) | 16 GB (expandable) |
Rear camera | 13 Mpixel | 13 Mpixel |
Front camera | 8 Mpixel | 8 Mpixel |
Battery | 3080 mAh | 2525 mAh |
Connectivity | WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS & GLONASS, LTE | WiFi n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS & GLONASS, LTE |
Operating System | Android 5.0 Lollipop with MIUI 7 graphic customization | Android 5.1 Lollipop with OxygenOS graphic customization |
Price | 350 € | 289 € |
As you can see, the only difference is in display technology (IPS vs OLED), battery capacity (in favor of Xiaomi Mi4), support for the latest WiFi connectivity standard (in favor of Xiaomi Mi4) and in the price (for OnePlus X).
By analyzing the last difference, it is clear that OnePlus X has all the favors of the case, thanks also to an official marketing in our country, which is not the case with Xiaomi Mi4.
To you comments. Would you like to spend a little extra to bring home a smartphone that is not marketed officially in Italy but with premium features or save something and "put you on the safe" as a guarantee?
