Xiaomi Mi5 Appears on GeekBench: Are We Close To Launch?
Presumed final Mi5 design confirmed by leaked documents in the morning
When a device, whether it's a smartphone or a tablet, appears on the database GeekBench with its official name, it means you should not miss much at your official presentation. So if today's statement is not the exception that confirms the rule, we should not wait long before we can admire it Xiaomi Mi5.
In today's day, the above device, in addition to being the subject of an interesting escape of documents that would seem to reveal its definitive design, has appeared on the famous portal GeekBench with the official name (reported as you see in the pictures) of "Xiaomi MI5".

As you can see, the presence of the processor is confirmed quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 (in the picture shown with msm8996) and "sun" 3 GB of RAM memory.
What is strange, however, is the scores obtained in the tests single e multi core, respectively scores of 1846 e 4515. The results are good, but not as high as those obtained from the Xiaomi Gemini (alleged code name of Xiaomi Mi5) of which we will reprint the card drawn from GeekBench.

What happened to the Snapdragon 820? Downgrade?
We do not really know if Xiaomi Gemini e Mi5 are they really the same device, but if so, how to explain such a discrepancy between the scores obtained? I tell you right away!
If you look closely at the two cards, you will notice that in that of the Gemini the processor clock frequency is 1,59 GHz (done already strange because it Snapdragon 820 should have a clock frequency of 2,2 GHz), while in the relative clock Xiaomi Mi5 we find a clock at 1,36 GHz.
Certainly the lower scores obtained are due to this lower clock frequency, so the questions I leave with are the following: was there a downgrade of the processor? If yes, why? Will it possibly be done to prevent overheating of the processor?
