Xiaomi, the well-known manufacturer of smartphones and electronic devices, has obtained 3C certification for its Mijia 3-port Charger 140W. It is a product that offers the possibility of quickly charging up to three devices simultaneously, thanks to the three USB-A/C port design.
Xiaomi Mijia 3-Port Charger 140W certified in China: supports three-port fast charging
3C certification, which stands for China Compulsory Certification, is a mandatory certification system for products entering the Chinese market. It guarantees that the products meet the safety, quality and environmental protection requirements established by the Chinese authorities.
The Mijia 140W charger obtained 3C certification on September 27 with certificate number 2023010907575784. The manufacturer is Xiaomi Communication Technology Co., Ltd., one of the subsidiaries of Xiaomi Corporation.
According to the information reported by the certification, the Mijia 140W charger supports different fast charging modes, based on the number and type of connected devices. In particular, the charger supports:
- 120W single-port fast charging, with a USB-C port;
- 67W+67W or 100W+33W dual-port fast charging, with two USB-C ports;
- Three-port fast charging of 45W+45W+50W, 65W+65W+10W or 100W+20W+20W, with two USB-C ports and one USB-A port.
Furthermore, the Mijia 3-port Charger 140W supports a new 20V-5A 100W fast charging protocol, Named UFC extension (Unified Fast Charging System). It is an integrated fast charging system that allows you to automatically adapt the output power based on the connected device, ensuring greater efficiency and safety.
The 140W Mijia charger represents a notable leap in quality over Xiaomi's previous 67W GaN charger, which had a three-port USB-C/A design but lower maximum power. The 67W GaN charger used a foldable plug and came with a 6A, 1,5 meter fast charging cable.
At the moment the launch date and price of the Mijia 3-port Charger 140W is not yet known. However, it can be assumed that it is a product intended for the high end of the market, given its high power and versatility.
