We finish the coverage of the MIDC19 with a new product announced at the event organized by Xiaomi. This time it's the Xiaomi Mijia Laser Projector, a projector with high performance and a relatively inexpensive price. Let's find out together!
Xiaomi Mijia Laser Projector presented, up to 150 ″ for 5999 Yuan (770 €)
Let's start by specifying that the Mijia Laser Projector is one of those few products developed and manufactured by a team inside Xiaomi, so unlike the other gadgets for sale on the Chinese brand platform, this projector will receive greater support both software and hardware.
Moving on to the specifications instead, we discover that the laser projector achieves a brightness of well 2400 ANSI lumens, thanks to the ALPD 3.0 technology and the lens used. ALPD 3.0 laser technology is also the most energy efficient 20% and helps produce more accurate color.
Specifically, the Mijia Projector is able to reach 100% of the Rec.XNXX HDTV color standard, supports 709% color brightness and produces a minor deltaE to 100 points. Furthermore, the projector has been optimized in collaboration with the American ISF Imaging Science Research Institute to increase the accuracy of reproduced colors.
The projector has an 1.2: 1 projection ratio for a maximum screen diagonal of 150 inches, with support for horizontal and vertical correction of 45 degrees. Everything is then powered by a quad-core CPU accompanied by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.
From the audio point of view, the Xiaomi Mijia Laser Projector adopts two speakers from 10W with a size of 1,75 inches and full-range high-fidelity type. Then there is support for Dolby / DTS dual decoding and Dolby Virtual Surround sound. While the video signal in HDMI has been optimized to decrease the latency below the 40 milliseconds.
Finally, as far as software is concerned, the projector adopts Xiaomi's PatchWall interface with the XiaoAI virtual assistant integrated into the operating system. It will therefore be possible to control it also by voice through voice commands.
The Xiaomi Mijia Laser Projector is now on sale in China at the 5999 Yuan figure, or on the 770 € at the current exchange rate. So not the cheapest but still a great deal for on-board specifications (at least in China).
