Xiaomi, the Chinese technology giant, is planning to launch two models with folding screen in the next year, expanding its range of innovative devices. One of the two models will be the MIX Fold 4, the successor to the MIX Fold 3 presented this year, which is characterized by its large internal screen that folds like a book. The other model will be the MIX Flips, Xiaomi's first small foldable smartphone, which folds into a clamshell like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip or the Motorola Razr.
Xiaomi will launch a small foldable smartphone, it will be called MIX Flip
According to rumors, the MIX Flip will be launched before the MIX Fold 4 and will make its debut in the first half of 2024. The phone has already appeared in the IMEI database with the model number 2311BPN23C, which confirms that it will be marketed in China. It is not yet clear whether it will also be available in other markets.
The MIX Flip will have two screens: an internal one with a central hole for the front camera and an external one under the rear photo module. The latter will allow you to view notifications, time and other information without having to open your phone.
The rear camera will consist of three Leica sensors, which should offer wide-angle to periscope telephoto coverage, with optical image stabilization. This is a similar setup to the MIX Fold, which has received great reviews for the quality of its photos and videos.
It is not yet known what the technical specifications of the MIX Flip will be, but it is assumed that it will have a high-end processor, a large battery and fast charging.
With the MIX Flip, Xiaomi is preparing to challenge major competitors in the foldable smartphone sector, which is becoming increasingly popular among consumers. Samsung, Huawei, OPPO and vivo have already launched their models with small and large screens, trying to offer different solutions for user needs. Xiaomi aims to stand out for its quality-price ratio and for its collaboration with Leica, one of the most prestigious brands in the field of photography.
