Well, according to the latest rumors disclosed by the well-known leaker Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Chinese Threads, the MIX Fold 4 promises to be a giant in the folding smartphone sector. The device is expected to boast a sturdier body and a revamped hinge, designed to reduce the visibility of the crease on the screen and increase its durability. These structural improvements are essential for users who want a reliable and durable device over time.
Inside, the MIX Fold 4 promises high-level performance with well 16GB RAM and a wide one 1TB internal memory. The beating heart will be the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which will guarantee unprecedented speed and fluidity.
The battery is another strong point: with one capacity greater than 5000mAh and support for 100W fast charging, users will be able to enjoy greater autonomy and reduced charging times. This represents a qualitative leap compared to the predecessor MIX Fold 3, which stopped at a 4800mAh battery with 67W charging.
As regards the photographic sector, the MIX Fold 4 will stand out for one thing main camera from 50MP, flanked by a new periscope lens and other innovative cameras. There satellite connectivity, previously teased, will allow two-way communications, a significant addition that expands the possibilities of using the smartphone in remote areas or in emergency situations.
The MIX Fold 4 should also be the first in the series to boast a IP certification, absent in the MIX Fold 3, which will give the device greater protection against water and dust. The custom linear motor on the x-axis will improve the tactile experience thanks to more precise and defined haptic feedback. The weight will vary between 220 and 240 grams, depending on the materials chosen for the back panel.
In the past, Xiaomi launched the previous models of the MIX Fold series in August, so it is likely that the MIX Fold 4 could also debut in this period.
