Xiaomi has just named her new Vice President which responds to the name of Manu Kumar Jain, co-founder of Jabong joined the company in June 2014 and formerly head of the company's India division. The appointment was a must given the abandonment of Hugo Barra who preferred to direct the new virtual reality division of Facebook in order to also get closer to his home of origin.
Xiaomi made the announcement through various social sites, including the Facebook page, which states:
Under Manu's guidance, our successes in India have become the management of a small team to become the second largest smartphone maker in the country with a market share of 10,7 per cent, and number one in online sales with a stake of market share equal to the 29,3 per cent in Q4 of the 2016 according to IDC. Manu, congratulations to all the Xiaomi family for your promotion to Vice President of Xiaomi!
Mr. Manu Kumar Jain replied on his Facebook page stating:
Thanks to all the wonderful Xiaomi family. I am so happy that I had the opportunity to work with the best team on the planet. This further strengthens our plans to work harder, improve ourselves and make our fans, Xiaomi fans satisfied. I am truly honored!
