Xiaomi has just presented a new version of the Outdoor speakers that you can buy for some time in This Page. The new variant is smaller than the previous one, hence the name of Xiaomi Outdoor Speaker Mini.

The Outdoor Speaker Mini arrives with a design very similar to the original Outdoor Speaker, but with about a third of the height at only 45mm and a diameter of 86mm. We therefore have a front cover in black fabric with a rubber casing to protect against shocks and make the speaker waterproof, as well as the typical orange cord.
Obviously given the smaller dimensions, the speaker does not adopt 360-degree audio like its older brother, but only comes out of the front speaker, so it will be very directional. Having said that, Xiaomi claims to have equipped the speaker with dual-magnetic technology which should still bring quality audio.
Still from the design point of view, we no longer have the upper part of the case that acts as a knob for the volume, since in its place is the speaker. So in reality there is no button to adjust the volume, everything must be done through the smartphone, a bit like we do with some Bluetooth headphones. While at the bottom we find a non-slip rubber to be able to place it anywhere without worries.
Going to the features instead, well, it is a Bluetooth speaker, so it does its duty by reproducing the audio transmitted by our smartphone, tablet or PC. Bluetooth is at version 5.0 as the predecessor and the autonomy would also be the same, so let's talk about 10 hours of use. Finally, in the upper part we find a USB Type-C port to recharge it and you can use two of these speakers simultaneously for a stereophonic experience.
The Xiaomi Outdoor Speaker Mini is now on sale in China for 99 Yuan, or just 13 euros.
