Xiaomi, the Chinese technology giant, has just unveiled new flagship products: the smartphone Xiaomi 14Ultra and the tablet Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4. In this article we will focus on the tablet, which promises to be one of the best on the Chinese market and to offer an unprecedented user experience.

Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 official: the best tablet of the brand starts from only 3299 yuan (425€)

Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4

The Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro is the successor to the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro, launched last year, and takes up its essential lines. The tablet has a metal body, with a matte finish and a thin bezel. The tablet is available in two colors: black and blue.

The display is one of the strong points of the tablet. It is a 12,4-inch LCD panel, with a 3K resolution and a 3:2 aspect ratio, optimal for productivity and reading. The display supports one 144 Hz refresh rate, which guarantees exceptional fluidity and reactivity. There maximum brightness is 900 nits, for good visibility even in bright light conditions. The display is protected by Xiaomi Longjing glass, which is 10 times more drop resistant than Gorilla Glass Victus.

Under the body, the tablet hides a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, the second most powerful of the Snapdragon family, which ensures impressive speed and stability. The tablet is the first and only Chinese tablet to adopt this processor, which can easily handle the most demanding games and complex applications. The tablet also has up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage, to avoid space and multitasking problems.

The drums are another standout element, with a capacity of 10.000 mAh and support for fast charging via cable at 120W, which allows you to recharge the tablet in just 35 minutes. The tablet is also equipped with Xiaomi Surge P2 and G1 chips, which improve battery and charging management, and a battery protection strategy for high-temperature environments, such as cars.

The tablet is in fact the ideal companion of the new electric sedan Xiaomi SU7, presented in December. Thanks to the operating system Xiaomi HyperOS, based on Android 14, the tablet can connect to the car's native system and offer a series of control and entertainment functions. Rear passengers can independently adjust the seat and air conditioning, select destinations and navigation plans, or use the tablet as an audiovisual screen, supporting more than 30 car control functions.

In addition to controlling the car, the tablet can also control smart devices in the home. Through Hyper OS, the tablet can transform into a central controller of the smart home and control the smart devices in your home with one click. The tablet also supports remote control of PCs, and can be used as a wireless secondary display for Xiaomi computers, as well as other brands of Windows-based computers.

To complete the user experience, the tablet is accompanied by two accessories: the Smart Touch Keyboard and the Xiaomi Focus Stylus. The keyboard has a 6-layer layout, with hotkeys and brightness and sound adjustments. The keyboard also supports the NFC one-touch transmission function, which allows you to easily transfer data between the tablet and smartphone. The stylus has ultra-low latency and smooth writing, and can also be used as a virtual laser pointer for presentations.

The price of the tablet varies depending on the memory specifications. The 8GB + 256GB version costs 3.299 yuan (about 425 euros), the 12GB + 256GB version costs 3.599 yuan (about 465 euros), the 12GB + 512GB version costs 3.999 yuan (about 515 euros), and the 16GB + 1TB version costs 4.499 yuan (about 580 EUR). The tablet will go on sale in China from February 26, while the launch date in Europe is not yet known.
