La Xiaomi SU7 it stands out for the presence of physical buttons, in addition to the minimum necessary ones, which seem to go against the trend of today's electric cars, especially considering that Xiaomi is a technology company. However, Xiaomi claims that buttons are the most natural and intuitive way for humans to interact with machines, and that they are also the means to establish the emotional connection between people and vehicles.

The interior of the Xiaomi SU7 follows the concepts of beautiful, intuitive and human-vehicle integration, and features a human-centered interior arc that envelops the front occupants, provided by a technological driving axis and human-machine interaction. In practice, this means that the internal arch ensures that all functions are in the most convenient and comfortable position for passengers, and that the internal arch not only physically expands the space for passengers, making it more comfortable, but also gives passengers a psychological sensation of extension of space.

The interior arch runs from door to door across the steering wheel and across the dashboard. The position is designed to provide occupants with the most comfortable static posture for the arms. With the technology steering axis, everything is centered through the center of the flat-bottomed three-spoke steering wheel. This line extends upward through the digital speed readout on both the instrument panel and the wide-angle head-up display.

According to Xiaomi, when the driver sits in the SU7, the driver's central axis coincides with the technological driving axis, and that both the gaze movement and the driving operation conform to the body's intuition and habits.

The Xiaomi SU7 adopts a floating dashboard design that integrates HUD, flip-up instrument panel and air vents. Presumably, this means that the component volume is smaller and the saved space is given to the occupants.

Remember the buttons we talked about earlier? Well, on the center console there are four rocker switches plus the Start/Stop button. These control from above: temperature, fan strength, electric rear wing and air suspension. Xiaomi Auto says it believes that physical buttons are the most natural way for humans to interact with machines, and that they are also the means to establish the emotional connection between people and vehicles. Rocker switches mean they can be operated without looking with intuitive controls. However, the need for a button for the electric rear wing seems questionable and even the one for the air suspension is likely to only be needed occasionally.

These are not the only buttons on the Xiaomi SU7. If you need a more tactile feel, you can add a whole row of physical switches under the touchscreen with a docking unit.

The ergonomic sports seat of the Xiaomi SU7 is based on the characteristics of the human body of the Chinese, and the height of the lumbar support is set at 135mm. This height allows the seat to adapt to the curve of the human body and ensure good support. Xiaomi cars use an innovative sandwich structure for the seat cushion, and the top layer is 3D-Mesh support material, which brings soft touch and transparent breathability. The middle layer is made of 15mm memory foam, which is comfortable and soft for short runs. The bottom layer is made of 75kg/m² high-density PU material, which has good resilience and good support for long-distance running.
