Il Nothing Phone (2nd) it is one of the most anticipated smartphones by those who want something out of the norm. This is the third model of the startup Nothing, founded by former OnePlus CEO Carl Pei, which aims to offer an innovative and minimalist user experience. The Phone (2a) should be a mid-range device, with a price of less than 400 euros, but with some distinctive features of the brand, such as Glyph Interface and the transparent design.

However, in recent weeks some renderings have circulated online showing the Phone (2a) without the Glyph Interface, the particular circular LED light found on the back of the Phone (1) and the Telephone (2), and which allows you to customize notifications, ringtones and other functions. These renders suggested that Nothing had decided to forgo this element to lower production costs, or to differentiate the Phone (2a) from more premium models.
Today, the well-known leakster Evan Blass has denied these renderings, calling them inaccurate and manipulated. Blass explained that the leaked renderings are not based on the original CAD files provided by Foxconn, the maker of the Phone (2a), but on a modified version from an unreliable source. Furthermore, she revealed that the Phone (2a) will have the Glyph Interface, as can be seen in a comparison between the fake and real renders.
Blass also confirmed that the Phone (2a) will have a circular camera module, with two 50 MP sensors each, the same as Phone (1) and Phone (2). The main difference will be in the camera front, which will go from 16 MP to 32 MP, using the same one Sony IMX615 sensor of the OnePlus 10 Pro.
The Phone (2a) will be equipped with a AMOLED display from 6,7 inch, with FHD+ resolution and refresh rate to 120 Hz, and a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor, made with a 4 nanometer process. There RAM memory will be 8 or 12 GB, while storage space will be 128 or 256 GB. The operating system will be Nothing OS 2.5, based on Android 14.
The Nothing Phone (2a) will be officially presented at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, which will be held from February 27th to March 2nd. Nothing has already announced an event called “Nothing to see”, in which it will show the public its new smartphone and perhaps also the Phone (3), its next top of the range.
