The presentation of the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 a few days ago has definitely shaken the market. Starting from about 260 € (at least in India) it is possible to grab a smartphone with the best mobile processor on the market, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, a good amount of RAM (6GB) and a large 4000mAh battery among other things. Who would not want one at that price?
Immediately after the event, the news of the possible launch of the Poco F1 in that of Paris on 27 August, which should mean the start of smartphone marketing in Europe. So, knowing this, there remained only one detail to be unveiled: how much will it cost in our continent? Well, thanks to rumors we can now say that the price is around € 400, even if some sources start from 360 €.
Definitely a good blow considering that it starts already with 100 € surcharge if confirmed, up to a maximum of 140 € in addition to the launch price in India. Let's say that at that price it would almost be better to go with the still excellent Xiaomi Mi 8 or the captivating Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S according to taste.
Xiaomi Pocophone F1 coming to Europe for 399 €
That being said, the Pocophone F1 has several strong points that we now summarize for those who have forgotten or were not interested in the news. Obviously we start from the Snapdragon 845, a processor beast that makes al Poco F1 over 290.000 on Antutu, while keeping the smartphone at a good temperature thanks to the liquid cooling system called "LiquidCool" which allows 300% more heat dissipation than other methods. The processor is then coupled to 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 64GB of the LPDDR4X type, 128GB or 256GB of ultra-fast internal memory with UFS2.1 technology and, as we said before, everything is powered by a huge 4000mAh battery with support for Qualcomm. The Xiaomi Pocophone F1 comes with a 6.1-inch display with 1080 x 2246 resolution (Full HD +), an aspect ratio of 18.7: 8 and a maximum brightness of 500 nits, while in the photographic sector we find a combo composed of a primary 12MP sensor (the Sony IMX363) and a secondary 5MP camera produced by Samsung, with Dual Pixel technology for fast focusing and 1.4um pixels in addition to the inevitable AI to improve photos. The selfies are instead charged to a 20MP camera next to which we then find an infrared sensor for facial recognition, the same present on the Mi 8.
