Until today we have been able to appreciate glXiaomi smartphones divided into two macro categories: the Mi series which generally represents the top of the range and / or in any case medium / high end devices, and the Redmi series definitely more popular among users while maintaining quality and performance at higher levels than the competition. For a few hours, however, the two smartphone families may have to make room for one new series, or better defined brand POCOPHONE, so much so that the first terminal seems to arrive soon on the market. According to some sources, the Chinese company would have required permission for an EU trade mark with the name Xiaomi POCOPHONE at the end of May, it is conceivable to think that these new smartphones will be designed for the European market.
Apparently Xiaomi is already working on the release of the first branded device POCOPHONE, in fact, a named model M1805E10A was recently certified by the NCC of Taiwan. According to the report, the device is manufactured by Xiaomi Communications Technology Co., Ltd. but no technical specifications have been leaked other than the fact that the phone will support FDD LTE 3/7/8 bands and that GPS / Glonass and Beidou will be present. In a sense conflicting information on whether the hypothetical smartphone POCOPHONE is meant for the European market, as there is no mention of the 20 band.

But Taiwan's NCC certifications would not only concern the new and mysterious smartphone POCOPHONE, but they invest also the expected Xiaomi Mi A2. Theoretically, we already know everything, since it will be the twin of Mi 6X but with support for the 20 band and Android One stock interface. Even in this case, however, the NCC certification does not include the name of the device but rather the abbreviation M1804D2SG, similar to that of Mi 6X, and that therefore could be a further confirmation of what we have told so far of Mi A2, smartphone that will boast a CPU Snapdragon 660 and a dual bedroom 20 + 12 megapixel with sensors Sony IMX376 + IMX486 equipped with AI technology. As usual, we just have to wait even if a doubt remains: and if the model certified by the NCC was instead the Mi 6X in Hatsune version of which we showed you the images today?
