Xiaomi presents a compact NAS and two new keyboards

Xiaomi has just released a couple of products that could make the most nerd of you happy, even if in reality they can be used by everyone after a quick initial setup.

As you may have guessed from the title, let's talk about a NAS to keep all the files you want to access quickly via the internet, then we have a Bluetooth keyboard and a mechanical cable.

Xiaomi presents a compact NAS and two new keyboards

Xiaomi NAS N1

So let's start with the first product, lo Xiaomi Xiaobai family cloud disk N1. This small NAS has a 3.5 ″ hard disk inside with a capacity of 2 terabytes and is used to store photos, videos, movies, music and much more which we can then access via the internet, such as from your smartphone .

The NAS can even be configured to automatically save the video feed from surveillance cameras, so you do not have to worry about filling the microSD card that usually has a smaller capacity. In addition, there is a system that allows you to search for files by entering their name, saving you time when you want, for example, to watch a movie that you have previously uploaded.

The Xiaomi Xiaobai family cloud disk N1 is now in the crowdfunding campaign at the figure of 699 Yuan, that is only 90 € (at least in China).

Xiaomi MIIIW Bluetooth Keyboard Dual Mode

Moving on to another very useful accessory for those who use the smartphone or tablet in a more productive way we find the Xiaomi MIIIW Bluetooth Keyboard Dual Mode. This wireless keyboard is really interesting as it can be used either wirelessly with 2.4Ghz or via Bluetooth, something that many of us take for granted but which is difficult to find in a single product.

Xiaomi MIIIW Bluetooth Keyboard Dual Mode

The operation via Bluetooth and wireless 2.4Ghz allows you to connect to virtually any product with operating system and wireless connectivity, so we talk about Android or iOS smartphones, tablets, PC with Windows and of course also on Mac. The various modes can be changed through the three buttons located in the part where we usually find the "Stamp, Insert and Canc" keys, which instead are replaced by "Wireless, Bluetooth and PC / Mac". Note that the layout is however different from the common ones and therefore it will be necessary to readjust in every case.

Xiaomi MIIIW Bluetooth Keyboard Dual Mode

The Xiaomi MIIIW Bluetooth Keyboard Dual Mode has a total of 104 keys with a 1.5mm key travel, has an angle of 6 degrees and a battery for up to 7 hours of wireless use.

The MIIIW Bluetooth Keyboard is available in black and white as 249 Yuan, or 32 €.

Xiaomi Yuemi Mechanical Keyboard 104K

We conclude with another keyboard, this time mechanical and wired, the Yuemi Mechanical Keyboard 104K Cherry Edition. This keyboard is different from those we usually find in supermarkets as it is mechanical, therefore it has much more precise and reactive particular switches that result in a better typing experience.

The Xiaomi mechanical keyboard is not even something new for the Chinese giant, which had already released it a while ago. But this is the first keyboard to use Cherry switches, that is, the best ones in circulation. In this case they are Red, or those recommended to those who write a lot to the PC, unlike other types that are perhaps more suitable for gamers.

Xiaomi Yuemi Mechanical Keyboard 104K

As could be deduced from the name, the Yuemi Mechanical Keyboard 104K Cherry Edition is also a full size keyboard with 104 keys with a 4mm key travel, with a minimal design totally in white. Unfortunately, however, the keyboard is not backlit, a choice that certainly has the advantage of decreasing the price for a product that is still recommended for those who write for work, so it is assumed that they know the keyboard by heart, while for the ordinary user it might seem too simple and poco captivating.

The Xiaomi Yuemi Mechanical Keyboard 104K Cherry Edition is on sale in China at the price of 329 Yuan, that is 42 €.

I'll go mechanically safe. The other is aesthetically prettier but I'm not happy with the compact. Each key must be in its place… 🙂
