At the beginning of today's day, Xiaomi's chief executive Lei Jun met with Chinese government officials to sign an agreement that allows Xiaomi to build its own technology park. The implementation of the project, which should last approximately 3 years, involves the creation of offices, staff accommodation, technological innovation laboratories and probably production areas.
Xiaomi is currently relying on Foxconn and other smartphone manufacturers to make their own products. It has not been declared which products will be made by Xiaomi itself, but this business move will enable the company to increase its efficiency and maintain high quality standards.
