Just one day after Xiaomi Redmi 3S's presentation, another variant has become its official entry into the vast range of Chinese brand devices, namely the Xiaomi Redmi 3X, with hardware hardware that is almost identical to its predecessor and with a novelty substantial. As you can see, the differences at the hardware level are limited to a single memory cut which turns out to be a mixture of the two versions of the Redmi 3S. Instead, the real difference can be found on an aesthetic level, as the Redmi 3X takes up the style of the Xiaomi Mi Max, with a brick design with rounded side edges at the rear. All this translates into a very slight increase in size (except the thickness which remains unchanged) and weight (it is just 0,02 g). Furthermore, this new variant will only be available in two colors (gold and silver) unlike its predecessor which has one more (dark gray). Finally, even more importantly, the Xiaomi Redmi 3X will only be an exclusive of the Chinese operator Unicom which, consequently, makes it impossible to use this smartphone with a SIM from other operators.
This means, unlike all other Xiaomi smartphones, that it cannot be exported to other countries (via resellers) precisely because of this operator block. Concludes it all, a sale price equal to the 3/32 GB version of the Redmi 3S, or 899 Yuan which at the exchange corresponds to poco more than 121 € (although, as mentioned, it will never be available for purchase outside of China).
