Xiaomi is tireless and especially in the mid and low range does not cease to churn out new models or upgrades. Not even the recent "fatigue" for the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 and the Mi Max has put a stop to the design and production of new phones.
Yesterday, in fact, the certification of the Chinese body TEENA was announced for a new model that in all probability will be the new low-entry RedMi 4.
The certification also discloses most of the technical specifications. The display will be 5 ″ with a resolution of 1080p and it is very rare to find a FullHD display on low-end phones. The CPU will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 supported by 3GB of RAM, the GPU instead an Adreno 506. The photographic sector consists of a 5MP front camera and a 13MP rear camera with Sony IMAX sensor. The software will obviously be the MIUI8 based on Android 6.0. Fortunately confirmed the generous 4000mAH battery as in the Redmi 3.
From the aesthetic point of view we find a design very similar to the previous generation even though the display is no longer framed by edges and the front part is divided into 3 sections as in Mi5. Below the 3 soft-touch controls are now a bit "old-fashioned". Back in the center, there is a flash camera and immediately under the fingerprint sensor.
It must be said that it is difficult to improve a successful phone like the RedMi 3 but from Xiaomi we always expect a few surprises in the "cheap" sector
