While we are waiting for the official presentation, on Chinese soil, of the already celebrated Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro scheduled for 18 March, the Asian giant does not seem to want to stop there.
The vice president of Xiaomi and general manager of the Redmi sub-brand, Lu Weibing, would in fact have made it known that fans of the brand must prepare for the presentation of a new smartphone line that will be unveiled at the same event. Many Mi fans around the world immediately jumped to a simple conclusion, the series in question will include the long-awaited Redmi 7, probably together with the other variants that we see coming together such as the "Redmi ** Pro" and "Redmi ** A ".

Now you will ask, but the Redmi series already exists, so what's new? Well, we suspect that the brand can change its name, perhaps adding another word. If you think about it, being now an independent brand, calling the smartphone "Redmi 7" would be like calling the Xiaomi Mi 9 "Xiaomi 9". Obviously this is only our hypothesis and we could be completely out of the way, so take it with pliers.
Name aside, the entry-level device previously appeared on TENAA revealing some specifications such as dimensions: 158.6 mm x 76.4 mm x 8.9 mm and weight: 180 grams. The smartphone will be available in eight different colors: black, red, blue, pink, green, purple and gray; will be equipped with a 6,26 inch screen with 1520 x 720 resolution and an aspect ratio of 19: 9.

As for the rest of the hardware, we expect to find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor supported by 2GB, 3GB or 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal memory expandable via microSD. The battery should remain the usual with a capacity of 4000mAh, on the back we will have a fingerprint sensor and two 12MP and 8MP cameras, while in front we will find an 8MP camera for selfies.
The new Redmi series will arrive with MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie and a price of about 900 Yuan, or 120 around euro.

Our Emanuele has found an online image that would give the Xiaomi Redmi 7 coming with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 processor. Compared to the 636 Snapdragon that was given previously, the 632 is slightly less performing with a maximum clock of 1,8Ghz (2,2Ghz on 636), an Adreno 506 GPU (512 on 636) and support for slower RAM than LPDDR3 (LPDDR4 / 4X on the 636). It also supports 3.0 Quick Charge only, not the fourth generation (4.0) and has a X9 LTE modem instead of X12.
